Geog Digital Tools & Infrastructure Series

A workshop series about digital tools and open research practices for geographers.

Planned workshops

Topic Date
1 Open-source tools for outreach, teaching and research documentation 19 June 2026
2 Software sharing, testing and reproducibility In preparation
3 Data sharing and cloud computing In preparation

This is a growing series

The direction of future workshops will depend on the uptake and feedback from Workshop 1. Possible topics include deeper dives into specific tools, good software development practices for researchers, reproducibility and open science workflows, or something else entirely — we can decide what's most useful. The Research Software Engineering team at JGI is also happy to help.

About this site
