Liz Bagshaw, Leah Hopf and Jane Williamson have just returned from a successful field trip to Greenland, where they were working on the ARIA Funded ‘GRUMPS’ (Greenland Runoff Monitoring from Passive Seismology) project. The team camped near the margin of the ice sheet, experiencing temperatures from -22 to +6 and carried lots of stuff! They’ll be back in July to install some more equipment and collect more samples once the meltwater has started flowing.
