Fabien Maussion was this week awarded the International Glaciological Society’s ‘Firn Award’. This award is for significant scientific and community contributions to glaciology by a mid-career scientist.

Fabien’s award citatation highlights his amazing contributions to open source science, and also for supporting the development of early career scientists and making glaciology a more inclusive space. This is evidenced by his former PhD student Lili receiving the Early Career Award in the same round.
