We’re pleased to announce the start of OGGM-Next, a new 12-month project funded by the UK Research Software Maintenance Fund.

The project will modernise the Open Global Glacier Model (OGGM), strengthening its software foundations, making it “cloud-ready”, and improving its documentation and training. The aim is to ensure that OGGM remains a robust and widely used tool for global glacier modelling at a time when demand for such data is rapidly increasing.

OGGM-Next is led by Fabien Maussion from the Bristol Glaciology Centre, with collaborators in the UK and internationally.
