Welcome to new Newton International Fellow Kara Lamantia! Kara has joined us from the Ohio State University, where she was a PhD student and then PDRA at the Byrd Polar & Climate Research Center. Kara’s interests cover both modern and palaeo-scale drivers of glacier mass balance. Her fellowship at Bristol aims to use satellite data to assess global-scale mountain glacier health over time, with a focus on regional differences and annual snow cover fluctuations.
